The starving artist is not a romantic ideal. It is a structural failure — one that robs culture of voices, visions, and work that cannot be replicated by any machine. UNION exists to end it.
The Problem

A vast majority of working artists — musicians, writers, visual artists, performers, filmmakers — cannot sustain their practice on their creative work alone. The economics of art have never been fair, and AI has accelerated that imbalance at shocking speed.
Meanwhile, established artists who have managed to build sustainable practices often find themselves isolated. There is no community of peers that operates from shared values. No venue for collective action. No structure for legacy.
UNION is the answer to both problems — not charity, but solidarity. Not hierarchy, but mutual recognition. Not a platform that profits from artists, but one that is owned and governed by them.

The name UNION carries two meanings simultaneously: inner union (the alchemical marriage of self) and collective union (artist solidarity). These are not separate — they are the same movement at different scales.
Conscious Co-Creation
The artist is not merely a maker — they are a channel. UNION honors the embodied, intentional creative who brings something through from the unseen into form.
Dissolving Separation
The illusion that artists must struggle alone ends here. UNION is the container in which competition dissolves into collaboration, and scarcity transforms into solidarity.
The Union of Opposites
Inner union (the alchemical self) + collective union (artist solidarity). The Ouroboros: perpetual renewal, no beginning, no end. We are the continuity of creative culture.
The Weaver Between Worlds
In Celtic tradition, the dragon is the keeper of wisdom and a bridge between the human and the divine. Every act of authentic creation is the dragon principle in motion.
Intermediary Between
Heaven and Earth
In Tantric Buddhism, the dragon holds the secrets of the tantric teachings. In Celtic tradition, the dragon is an active conduit — keeper of wisdom, bridge between the human and the divine. In kundalini traditions, the dragon energy is the creative force itself: the remembrance of Self, the awakening of psychic gifts, creativity in its purest form.
UNION serves the alchemical artist — the creator who has done, or is doing, the inner work. Who creates from embodied presence. Who understands that every act of real creation is a bridge-building between the seen and unseen.
The Ouroboros: the dragon consuming and regenerating itself. The cycle that has no end. This is creative culture — not a product, but a living system.

UNION is not being built top-down. We are convening a founding board of 6–10 artists to shape the community vision, funding model, and culture from the ground up. The first founding members meeting is planned for late spring.
